Terms and Conditions for Driving Instructor Training Packages & Training Sessions
1. General Terms
1.1. These terms and conditions apply to all driving lessons provided by IMAC – Driving Instructor Training.
1.2. By Training with us, you agree to abide by these terms.
1.3. You must hold a valid UK provisional driving licence and present this at your first training session.
2. Payments and Cancellations
2.1. Payments must be made in advance or at the time of training as agreed.
2.2. Training packages and sessions can be paid via cash, bank transfer, or other payment methods approved by the school. An invoice will be issued confirming and training that is booked.
2.3. A minimum of 48 hours notice is required to cancel or reschedule any training. Failure to do so will result in the full session fee being charged.
2.4. Block booking discounts and packages can be refunded up to 28 days after purchase if no training hours have been used. After 28 days no refund will be issued and training hours will expire after 12 months.
3. Training Times and Availability
3.1. Training sessions will start and end at the agreed times. If you are late, the trainer will try to accommodate you, but the session may be shortened.
3.2. The trainer reserves the right to terminate a lesson if they believe it is unsafe to continue, including if the client is under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
4. Trainers Responsibilities
4.1. The Trainer will be a fully qualified ADI and DVSA-registered
4.2. The car provided for training will be roadworthy, insured, and equipped with dual controls.
4.3. The trainer will provide specific training, guidance, feedback, and support in all areas that relate to all ADI Tests and in accordance with your specific needs and requirements.
5. Trainee Responsibilities
5.1. You must inform the trainer of any medical conditions, disabilities, or medications that may affect your ability to drive.
5.2. You must bring your valid provisional licence to each lesson.
5.3. You are responsible for any legal penalties incurred as a result of your actions during part 2 and part 3 training unless the trainer is at fault.
6. Part 2/3 Training & Tests
6.1. Part 2 training Eyesight check. You must be able to read a number plate from 27 meters. The use of the training school car is not available for part 2 training unless previously agreed with the trainer. If you wish to use the training school car for part 2 test a fee of £160 will be charged.
6.2. Initial Part 3 training and any roll play training will be conducted in the training school car. Further part 3 training will be by prior arrangement in accordance with your specific needs and requirements.
6.2. Test bookings are your responsibility unless agreed otherwise with the trainer
6.3. The training school is not responsible for DVSA cancellations or changes to your test.
7. Liability
7.1. The training school accepts no liability for injuries, losses, or damages during lessons unless caused by negligence of the trainer. However, the training school will have liability insurance to cover any such injuries.
7.2. The driving school is not liable for test cancellations, delays, or failures.
8. Privacy and Data Protection
8.1. Personal data provided to the driving school will be handled in accordance with the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018.
8.2. Information will only be used for the purpose of delivering training and communicating with you.
9. Complaints and Feedback
9.1. Complaints should be directed to IMAC – Driving Instructor Training in writing within 14 days of the issue.
9.2. We aim to resolve complaints promptly and fairly.
10. Termination of Training
10.1. The trainer reserves the right to terminate training due to misconduct, unsafe behavior, or breach of these terms.
10.2. Refunds for unused training hours will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
11. Amendments to Terms and Conditions
11.1. The driving school reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions. Changes will be communicated to you in advance.
