Welcome to my Website and thank you for taking the time to visit. I am Innes Macdonald and for 2024 I have rebranded my business to become IMAC-Driving Instructor Training. I provide professional training for individuals who are in the process of embarking on a career as a self-employed Driving Instructor. I also offer service to qualified Approved Driving Instructors (ADI’s) with Continuous Professional Development (CPD) requirements, preparation for Standards Tests and support for day to day Lesson development.
My Qualifications
In 2005, I qualified as an ADI with a national Driving School. I thereafter embarked on developing my skills to train driving instructors and in 2008 I became DVSA ORDIT Registered, after successful completing my Part 3 ORDIT Inspection. Until 2017 I continued to work with the national Driving School, at which point I established my own independent training business as Innes Macdonald Driver and Instructor Training.
Over this time, I have developed a depth of experience and success in training Learners to drive and successfully pass their driving test.
Instructor Trainer
As an Instructor Trainer I have a proven track record of training over 40 individuals across the Highlands and Islands to become Driving Instructors and move on to successfully establish their own driving schools. Additionally, I have provided training to many established ADI’s in the Highlands in support of completing successful Standards Test.
Whatever your circumstances, be that, an individual considering becoming a Driving Instructor, a Potential Driving Instructor (PDI) needing Part 2/3 Training or a qualified ADI, new or experienced, my intentions are that I can provide bespoke training solutions for YOU.
My Training Method
My approach goes beyond conventional training methods, I aim to delivery training in a common sense easy to understand manner. To make things “Stupidly Simple”. To create a good learning environment for whatever level you are at and to help you thrive and achieve whatever goals you have set.
I see “every day as a learning day” and have always set out to improve my skills, keep myself up to date and look beyond modern training styles. Embracing the unconventional, allows me to quickly adapt to individual training needs and the ever-changing world of Driving Tests and Driving Instructor training. This gives my students the best possible opportunity to achieve the goals, they have set out for themselves.
